Born into this industry, David Dumas grew up folding clothes for his grandfather, Mendel Dumas. Mendel, along with David's parents, Claire and Joe Dumas, provided him a great foundation in the world of retail. After graduating from American University, David studied retail as an assistant buyer at Lord and Taylor and worked in apparel manufacturing. Since coming back to Charleston in his mid 20's, David eats, sleeps, and breathes M. Dumas & Sons, as the third generation owner.

A veteran of the retail industry, Gary began his career with Nordstrom at the age of 18. Although new to Charleston, Gary has always been drawn to the style of the South and M. Dumas and Sons in particular. The heritage of M Dumas and Sons and what it means to the local community and overall style of the South, drives Gary and his team to constantly be searching for whats new and next! When not in the store, Gary can often be found spending time with his family on their boat, riding his motorcycle, or training for races of which he estimates he has run 100+ of!

Joining the team two weeks out of Furman University in 2017, Clark has been in the clothing industry since high school. Coming in with mainly sportswear experience, he invested his time and energy into the tailored clothing side of the business and has become one of our made to measure specialists. Since then, Clark has become a buyer and is devoted to curating one of the best luxury collections in the country. He takes style inspiration from movies and tv shows such as James Bond and Suits. Some of his favorite brands include Kiton, Eton, and Eleventy.

With over 25 years of experience in Men's Clothing, Laney joins us most recently from Nordstrom's in San Francisco where she specialized in men's suiting. Laney prides herself on her personal styling and helping to create a head-to-toe wardrobe for her clients.

Dubose joined the M. Dumas & Sons team after graduating from Clemson University in 2022. Originally born and raised in Mount Pleasant, one of Dubose's favorite aspects of working at M. Dumas & Sons is getting to meet and interact with customers from all over the world. Dubose's favorite time of the year is the Fall when she gets to cheer on the Clemson Tigers with her friends and family.

A friend of the Dumas family, Victoria joined the M. Dumas & Sons team after a 19 year career in bookkeeping. When she isn't busy keeping the store operating, she loves to watch soccer and spend time with her kids.
Harri Rampergas- Master Tailor
After working as the Master Tailor for Neiman Marcus in New Jersey for 17 years, Harri joined to M. Dumas & Sons team in 2023. His experience working with luxury goods and celebrity clients made him the perfect fit to lead our tailoring department as we continue to grow and expland.
Thomasena Singleton | Alterations
A Charleston native herself, Tommy as she is known in the store, began sewing as a little girl with the guidance of her Grandmother. A fixture in the store for 11 years, you can normally find here by following the sounds of gospel music coming from the tailor shop.
Liz Johnson | Alterations
Born and raised in Charleston, Liz joined the M. Dumas & Sons team bring 40+ years of sewing experience with her. After learning to sew in High School, Liz turned this passion into her profession and is excited to work with some of the best clothing brands in the world!
Rachel Garner | Shoe Department Manager
Rachel joined the M. Dumas & Sons team with an extensive record in retail. With over 20 years experience under her belt, Rachel was a fixture at the now closed Bob Ellis Shoes and has brought that talent and passion with her to the Corner of King and Society.
